Easy makeup ideas
Feeling like throwing some makeup in the mix? Here are some easy - and pretty - options! You can wear it with your regular outfit, or with the simple costume styling options I provided - whatever you're up for!
A mouse...or Minnie Mouse. You could get a headband bearing the likeness of your favorite animal: a mouse, cat, etc. and after you've applied some eyeliner, use that same liner to draw some whiskers and a black nose and you've been transformed into the chic animal of your choice! And if you're a Disney girl, grab those Minnie Ears out of your closet, add some winged eyeliner and blush, and you're instantly Minnie!
If you want an easy, low-energy costume idea, pair it with clothes in the corresponding animal's color. If you've chosen the mouse option, go with gray tee and leggings, or gray sweats. Or you could go bold and wear an animal print top, bottom, or both - leopard, giraffe, cheetah, zebra, etc. If you like the Minnie Mouse option, you could add some red and white pops to a black ensemble. Like a slouchy black shirt with black leggings, white slouchy socks, a red lip, and your Minnie ears.
Fairy. Start with a fresh face. A skin-safe cosmetic glitter gel pen does all the heavy lifting in this scenario. Sweep it from your temples to your cheekbones for a dewey, ethereal look. Pair it with a basic white tee, an oversized cardigan and your favorite comfy pants. Add braids and/or a sparkly headband for an extra touch of whimsy.
Masquerade mask, heart, or your favorite design. This works whether or not you're wearing makeup. For the mask, get metallic eyeliner in your favorite color (I'd suggest gold, green or purple if you're going for a Mardi Gras vibe, but any color will look great), and draw a mask outline around your eyes. You can go as bold or as delicate as you'd like. You could even add some cheek glitter as well. If a mask isn't your style, you could use that metallic eyeliner and draw your favorite shape on your cheek (or both cheeks) instead. You could draw a single shape or clusters of them. It could be a star, heart, whatever strikes your fancy. They could be outlines of shapes, or you could color them in. Either option makes your look instantly festive.
